  • 2 pounds Sweet Potatoes Peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Melted
  • 4 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Step 1: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks, about 1 to 2 inches.
  • Step 2: Place the sweet potato chunks in the Instant Pot. Add 1 cup of water.
  • Step 3: Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing. Select the “Pressure Cook” function and set the timer for 10 minutes.
  • Step 4: Once cooking is complete, perform a quick release of the steam.
  • Step 5: Transfer the sweet potatoes to a large bowl. Add melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Mash until creamy.
  • Step 6: Serve warm, garnished with cinnamon or butter if desired.

Notes

Leftover mashed sweet potatoes can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
