This comforting and hearty Italian Baked Penne Casserole combines ground turkey, aromatic herbs, and melty mozzarella, all wrapped up in delicious penne pasta.
Step 2: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add in the penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they start to soften.
Step 4: Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
