Instructions
  1. Step 1: Gather Ingredients - Start by gathering all your ingredients: jasmine rice, water, salt, and butter.
  2. Step 2: Rinse the Rice (optional) - If you choose to rinse, place the rice in a strainer and run cold water over it until the water runs clear.
  3. Step 3: Combine Ingredients - In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of jasmine rice, 1 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter. Stir gently to mix.
  4. Step 4: Bring to a Boil - Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Keep a close eye to avoid boiling over.
  5. Step 5: Simmer and Cover - Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan with a lid. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  6. Step 6: Fluff the Rice - After 15 minutes, remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes. Fluff the rice gently with a fork.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, cook the rice in broth instead of water.
  • Store cooked rice in the fridge for up to a week, reheating with a splash of water.
