Ingredients
  

For the Biscuits:
  • 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1.25 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Method
 

Directions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  4. Step 4: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Step 5: Fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
  6. Step 6: Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop generous portions of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Step 7: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  8. Step 8: Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm.
