- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
- Step 4: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
- Step 5: Fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
- Step 6: Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop generous portions of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Step 7: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
- Step 8: Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm.
