Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 8 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 10 cups Lucky Charms cereal

Equipment

  • Large saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Parchment Paper
  • Measuring Cups

Method

  1. Start by lining a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper. This will make it easier to lift the treats out later, ensuring you don’t lose any of that deliciousness!
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the 1 cup of salted butter over low heat. Stir occasionally until completely melted and bubbly.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the 8 cups of miniature marshmallows to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly add the 10 cups of Lucky Charms cereal. Using your wooden spoon or spatula, fold the cereal into the marshmallow mixture until all the cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula or your hands (dampened for easier handling) to press the mixture evenly into the dish, ensuring it’s compact.
  6. Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help them firm up before you cut them into squares.
  7. Once cooled, lift the treats out of the baking dish using the parchment paper. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve. Enjoy the fun and flavor of your Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats!

Notes

  • Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week, but the texture may change.
  • Freeze individually wrapped treats for up to 2 months.
