Cooking Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, Spike seasoning, dried basil, dried oregano, onion powder, dried sage, and black pepper. Whisk or stir until well blended.
- Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- If you’re grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. For baking, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a skillet, heat over medium heat and add a splash of oil.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Cook the chicken thighs skin-side down for 7-10 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy. Flip the chicken and continue cooking for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Once cooked, let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
