Instructions
- Begin by allowing the refrigerated dinner rolls to come to room temperature. This will make them easier to handle.
- Take each dinner roll and flatten it slightly with your hands. Use your fingers to form a small hole in the center of each roll to create the classic doughnut shape.
- In a deep pan or fryer, heat the canola oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil is at the right temperature for frying.
- Carefully place the shaped doughnuts into the hot oil, being sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the marshmallow fluff and cream cheese. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Gradually add 1 cup of powdered sugar and stir until fully incorporated.
- Transfer the filling to a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off. Insert the tip into the hole of each cooled doughnut and squeeze gently to fill with the marshmallow cream mixture.
- In a small saucepan, combine the bittersweet chocolate chips and milk over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Dip the top of each filled doughnut into the chocolate glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.
- While the glaze is still wet, sprinkle the coarsely crushed graham crackers on top for that signature smores crunch.
- Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Marshmallow Cream Filled Smores Doughnuts warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Monitor the oil temperature closely to avoid burning the doughnuts.
- Ensure that the doughnuts are completely cooled before filling them to prevent the filling from melting.
- Experiment with different toppings, such as mini marshmallows or crushed nuts, for added texture and flavor.
- These doughnuts are best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored for a day or two in an airtight container.
