Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter room temperature
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries chopped
  • 1/3 cup crushed nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts)
  • 1/3 cup green onion finely chopped
  • 12-15 pieces pretzel sticks

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Serving Platter

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the room temperature cream cheese and softened butter. Use a spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly to ensure all the flavors are evenly distributed.
  3. Fold in the freshly shredded cheddar cheese, chopped dried cranberries, crushed nuts, and finely chopped green onions. Stir until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes.
  5. Once chilled, scoop out small portions (about 1 inch in diameter) and roll them into balls.
  6. Insert a pretzel stick into the center of each cheese ball bite.
  7. Arrange the Mini Cheese Ball Bites on a serving platter and serve immediately, or keep them in the fridge until you're ready to impress your guests!

Notes

  • For a vegan option, substitute cream cheese with a dairy-free alternative.
  • Chill the mixture longer if too soft to roll into balls.
  • Customize flavors with different herbs or spices for variety.
