Stepwise Method:
- Step 1: Prepare the Cheese - Begin by unwrapping the Mozzarella string cheese sticks. Cut them in half to create bite-sized pieces.
- Step 2: Set Up Your Breading Stations - In three separate bowls, prepare your breading stations: In the first bowl, pour the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, pour the milk. In the third bowl, mix the Panko bread crumbs with the Italian seasoning and parsley.
- Step 3: Bread the Mozzarella Bites - Take each piece of cheese, dip it into the flour to coat, then into the milk, and finally roll it in the seasoned Panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Step 4: Heat the Oil - In a deep frying pan or skillet, pour enough oil to cover the bottom about 1 inch deep. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Step 5: Fry the Bites - Carefully place a few breaded Mozzarella Bites into the hot oil. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown.
- Step 6: Drain and Serve - Once cooked, use a slotted spoon or tongs to transfer the Mozzarella Bites to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat until all the bites are cooked.
- Step 7: Enjoy with Marinara Sauce - Serve your Mozzarella Bites hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For extra crunch, consider double-breading the bites.
- These bites can be frozen before frying for convenient future snacks.
- Experiment with different herbs in the breading for varied flavors.
