Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons fresh chives or 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill or 2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Air-tight Container

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt or sour cream, ½ cup of mayonnaise, and ½ cup of milk. Use a whisk or a spoon to mix until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. Next, add in the fresh herbs: 3 tablespoons of fresh chives, 2 tablespoons of fresh dill, and 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley. If you’re using dried herbs, adjust the measurements accordingly. Then, incorporate 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of pepper, and ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika.
  3. Stir all the ingredients together until well combined. Taste your ranch dressing and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the dressing to an air-tight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve this delicious ranch dressing with your favorite salads or as a dip for fresh veggies!

Notes

  • For the best flavor, opt for fresh herbs whenever possible.
  • Greek yogurt provides a thicker texture and is higher in protein compared to sour cream.
  • Adjust the milk to your desired consistency for a thicker dressing.
