Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • ½ cup Brown sugar, tightly packed
  • cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth, then add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until incorporated. Fold in the creamy peanut butter.
  • Step 4: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Step 5: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Step 6: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  • Step 7: Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
