Ingredients

Brownie Layer

  • 1 box family-size brownie mix Follow package instructions for preparation.

Pecan Pie Topping

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 cups corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped or whole

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the box. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Step 3: Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Step 4: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  • Step 5: Pour the pecan pie mixture over the brownie layer and spread it out evenly.
  • Step 6: Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the pecan topping is set and bubbly.
  • Step 7: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares.

Notes

For an extra chocolatey flavor, mix in chocolate chips into the brownie batter. Serve with vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat!
