Ingredients

For the Pizza:
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated
  • 1 cup dill pickle chips patted dry with a paper towel
  • 1 each egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water for egg wash
  • to taste fresh chives for sprinkling
  • to taste hot honey for drizzling

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Knife or pizza cutter

Method

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven - Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure your puff pastry bakes to golden perfection.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Puff Pastry - Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: Make the Ranch Sauce - In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and ranch seasoning. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  4. Step 4: Assemble the Pizza - Spread the ranch mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and dill pickle chips on top.
  5. Step 5: Add the Egg Wash - Beat the egg and water together, then brush the mixture over the edges of the puff pastry.
  6. Step 6: Bake to Perfection - Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Step 7: Finish with Hot Honey and Chives - Once out of the oven, drizzle hot honey over the top and sprinkle with fresh chives.
  8. Step 8: Slice and Serve - Use a knife or pizza cutter to slice the pizza into squares or wedges. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lighter option, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Substitute ranch seasoning with your favorite herb blend for a different flavor profile.
  • Try pepper jack cheese instead of sharp cheddar for a spicy kick.
  • Use pickled jalapeños in place of dill pickle chips for added heat.
