Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Cream until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the lightly beaten egg and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans gently.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
