  • 2 packets instant ramen any flavor of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic peeled and minced
  • ½ medium yellow onion peeled and thinly sliced
  • 5 ounces chicken chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 1 small carrot peeled and sliced on the diagonal
  • 2 pieces green onions cut into 2-inch pieces (separate the white part from the green part)
  • 2 cups green cabbage chopped into 1-inch pieces

Instructions

  • Step 1: Start by cooking the instant ramen according to the package instructions, but omit the flavor packet for now. Once the noodles are cooked, drain and set them aside. Rinse the noodles under cold water briefly to prevent them from becoming sticky.
  • Step 2: In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and the white parts of the green onions, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Step 3: Add the chopped chicken to the skillet. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Step 4: Introduce the sliced onion, carrot, and chopped cabbage into the skillet. Stir well and sauté for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet still crisp.
  • Step 5: Add the cooked ramen noodles back into the skillet. Combine everything gently and add your chosen flavor packets from the ramen.
  • Step 6: Sprinkle the green parts of the green onions over the stir fry as a fresh garnish. Serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the chicken with tofu, shrimp, or your favorite protein. Customize the vegetables based on what you have available.
