Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen Butterball turkey burgers
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 soft sesame hamburger buns
  • 4-6 tablespoons prepared Ranch dressing
  • lettuce for topping
  • tomato sliced, for topping
  • onion sliced, for topping
  • pickles for topping
  • ketchup optional
  • mustard optional
  • relish optional
  • BBQ sauce optional

Equipment

  • grill (charcoal or gas)
  • Spatula
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the outdoor grill to medium heat; for charcoal, arrange an even layer of hot coals for consistent cooking.
  2. Place the frozen turkey burgers on the grill, cover, and cook for about 6 minutes.
  3. Flip the burgers, cover, and cook for another 4 minutes.
  4. Remove the cover, place a slice of cheddar on each burger, and cook uncovered for about 2 more minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers reach a safe internal temperature (follow package guidance or use a meat thermometer).
  5. If desired, place the hamburger buns cut-side down on the grill for a minute or two until lightly toasted.
  6. To assemble, spread 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons (or more to taste) of ranch dressing on each bun, top with a turkey burger, then add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and any other desired condiments such as ketchup, mustard, relish, or BBQ sauce.
  7. Serve the assembled burgers immediately.

Notes

  • Cook burgers from frozen according to package guidance for best results.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure turkey reaches a safe temperature.
  • Adjust ranch amount to taste.
  • Toast buns briefly on the grill for extra flavor.
