Ingredients
  

For the Dough:
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons Red gel food coloring adjust to desired color intensity
For the Filling:
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar for filling
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
For the Icing:
  • 1 package Cream cheese
  • 0.25 cup Butter
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Method
 

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Dough - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients until well combined.
  2. Step 2: Add the Wet Ingredients - Create a well in the center of your dry ingredients and add your wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Step 3: Knead the Dough - Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Step 4: Roll Out the Dough - Roll the dough out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  5. Step 5: Fill the Rolls - Spread butter over the dough, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and roll tightly.
  6. Step 6: Cut the Rolls - Slice the log into rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Step 7: Second Rise - Cover and let the rolls rise again for about 20-30 minutes.
  8. Step 8: Bake - Bake in a preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden.
  9. Step 9: Prepare the Icing - Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Step 10: Glaze and Serve - Drizzle icing over the rolls and serve warm.
