Tortilla Chips

  • 12 ounces tortilla chips (1 bag)

Taco Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey cooked and seasoned as taco meat
  • 1 cup pourable nacho cheese store-bought or homemade

Toppings

  • ½ cup sliced black olives drained
  • ½ cup red onion peeled and chopped
  • 2 pieces jalapeno peppers sliced (seeds optional for less heat)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup tomato chopped

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Taco Meat - Cook ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with taco seasoning.
  • Step 2: Preheat the Oven - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Step 3: Assemble the Nachos - Spread tortilla chips on a large baking sheet, sprinkle cooked taco meat, and drizzle nacho cheese over the chips.
  • Step 4: Add Toppings - Scatter black olives, red onion, and jalapenos on top, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Step 5: Bake - Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Step 6: Finishing Touches - Remove from oven, cool slightly, and top with tomatoes, cilantro, sour cream, and guacamole. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes
