Baking Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Step 3: In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add the egg yolk and mix until combined.
- Step 4: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Step 5: Gently fold in the M&Ms.
- Step 6: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them out. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Step 7: Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
