Ingredients

For the Cake:
  • 1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix (plus ingredients listed on the back of the box)
  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 8-ounce container Cool Whip
  • 12 mini Snickers (chopped)
  • to taste Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)
  • to taste Caramel sauce (for drizzling)
  • 12 mini Snickers bars (for garnish)

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Pan
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Electric Mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Skewer or fork
  • Spatula

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Bake the Cake. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the back of the Devil's Food Cake Mix box. Prepare the cake batter as directed, then pour it into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
  2. Step 2: Poke Holes. Once the cake has cooled, use a skewer or fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake. Be generous with the holes; this will allow the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce to soak in and enhance the flavor.
  3. Step 3: Soak the Cake. In a bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce until smooth. Carefully pour this mixture over the poked cake, ensuring that it seeps into the holes. Allow the cake to absorb the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Make the Frosting. In another mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and peanut butter. Beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to mix until smooth and well combined. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until fully incorporated.
  5. Step 5: Frost the Cake. Spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top of the cake. Use a spatula to create a smooth layer, or get creative with swirls and peaks.
  6. Step 6: Add the Toppings. Sprinkle the chopped mini Snickers bars over the frosted cake. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce for an extra touch of indulgence.
  7. Step 7: Chill and Serve. Refrigerate the Snickers Poke Cake for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the cake to become even more delicious. Cut into squares and enjoy!
