Method
- Place a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the drained and rinsed black beans and the undrained can of diced tomatoes with green chilies to the saucepan.
- Stir in the chili powder and lime juice until combined.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and flavors meld.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
- Can substitute taco seasoning for chili powder.
