Ingredients

  • 2 steaks NY strip, ribeye, or sirloin (1-inch thick)
  • 4 teaspoons steak seasoning
For the Eggs:
  • 8 large eggs
For Cooking:
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or 1 tablespoon butter + 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish
  • Optional add-ons: toast, hash browns, or smashed potatoes, ranchero sauce, or chimichurri sauce

Method
 

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Steaks - Start by patting the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with the steak seasoning.
  2. Step 2: Heat the Pan - Place your skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Step 3: Sear the Steaks - Add ghee or butter and olive oil mixture to the pan. Once melted, add steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Flip the Steaks - Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare.
  5. Step 5: Rest the Steaks - Remove from the pan and let rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Cook the Eggs - In the same skillet, crack in the eggs and cook as preferred.
  7. Step 7: Plate It Up - Slice the steaks against the grain, plate with the eggs, and sprinkle with parsley.
