Ingredients

For the Herb Butter:
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons minced shallot
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
For the Lobster:
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
For the Steaks:
  • 2 (4-ounce) filet mignon steaks room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 serving Lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • Grill or grill pan
  • Oven
  • Sharp Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Meat Thermometer

Method

Preparation Steps:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Lobster Tails - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Carefully cut the top of each lobster tail shell lengthwise, stopping just before you reach the end. Gently pull the shell apart and lift the lobster meat out, laying it on top of the shell.
  2. Step 2: Make the Herb Butter - In a small mixing bowl, combine butter, minced shallot, garlic, parsley, and lemon juice. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Step 3: Season the Lobster - Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet. Generously spread the herb butter over the lobster meat.
  4. Step 4: Cook the Lobster - Bake the lobster tails for about 12-15 minutes, until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Prepare the Steaks - Season the filet mignon steaks with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Grill the Steaks - Heat your grill or grill pan over high heat. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy - Plate the lobster and steaks beautifully with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Monitor the lobster closely to avoid overcooking.
  • Let the steak rest after cooking for juicier results.
