Measure all ingredients into a large bowl.
Use a fork to thoroughly combine the ingredients and break up any lumps until the mixture is uniform.
Transfer the rub to an airtight jar and shake well to settle the mixture.
When ready to season steaks, rub 1–2 teaspoons of the mixture onto each steak, massaging so the surface is evenly coated.
Cover the seasoned steaks and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors penetrate.
Remove steaks from the fridge 20 minutes before cooking. Pat dry and wipe off any loose excess rub.
Lightly coat each steak with a splash of oil, then cook to your desired doneness.
