Ingredients

For the Cookies:
  • 1.5 cups creamy peanut butter Choose your favorite brand for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour spoon and level for accurate measurement
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt Maldon sea salt flakes recommended
  • 1-2 cups Reese’s Pieces optional but recommended
  • 0.5-1 cup chocolate chips optional
  • 0.5-1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 0.5 cup peanuts optional

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Electric Mixer
  • Baking Sheets
  • Parchment Paper
  • Cookie Scoop

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper or set aside non-stick baking sheets.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Using an electric mixer, cream the ingredients together until light and fluffy. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add in the creamy peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Step 5: If you're adding any optional ingredients like Reese’s Pieces, chocolate chips, or peanuts, gently fold them into the dough using a spatula.
  6. Step 6: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie, as they will spread while baking.
  7. Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will continue to cook on the baking sheet.
  8. Step 8: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy them warm or store them for later!

  • Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
