  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 large Eggs (beaten)
  • 4 fillets Tilapia
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce
  • 0.5 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated (for topping)
  • Cooked pasta (for serving)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Step 2: Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: combine flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the first; beat the eggs in the second; mix bread crumbs and Parmesan in the third.
  • Step 3: Coat each tilapia fillet in the flour mixture, dip in the eggs, and then press into the bread crumb mixture.
  • Step 4: Heat coconut oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded tilapia fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Step 5: Pour marinara sauce over the cooked fillets and sprinkle with mozzarella and additional Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 6: Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Step 7: Serve hot over cooked pasta and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate tilapia in lemon juice and herbs before breading. Use gluten-free options if needed.
