Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or any other plant-based milk)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • Green food coloring (optional, for extra slime effect)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Equipment

  • Donut Pan
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cooling rack
  • Spoon or small spatula

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your donut pan with vegetable oil or non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the almond milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently fold the mixture until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan cavities, filling each about three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly pressed and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Add green food coloring if desired. Adjust consistency as needed.
  9. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze or spread it on with a spoon. Add sprinkles immediately if decorating.
  10. Once the glaze is set, serve and enjoy your Toxic Slime Matcha Donuts fresh.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing the batter to keep donuts tender and light.
  • Don’t overfill the donut pan to prevent spilling and uneven baking.
  • Allow donuts to cool completely before glazing to ensure the glaze sets properly.
  • Store baked donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one day or refrigerated for two days.
  • Try swapping almond milk with oat or soy milk for different flavors or dietary needs.
