Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • slider buns soft, small buns
  • sliced cheese optional; cheddar, provolone, or Swiss

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Nonstick Skillet or Grill Pan
  • Spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Serving Plate or Tray

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add 1 lb of ground turkey. Stir in 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix until just combined without overworking.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each into a small, round patty matching the size of your slider buns. Make an indent in the center of each patty with your thumb.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes each side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Add cheese slice during last minute if using and cover to melt.
  4. Slice slider buns in half horizontally. Toast lightly if desired.
  5. Assemble sliders by placing each patty on bottom bun half. Add a spoonful of cranberry sauce if desired, then top with bun.
  6. Arrange sliders on a serving platter and garnish with extra parsley if preferred. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Chill patties for 15-20 minutes before cooking to help them hold together.
  • Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking and keep sliders juicy.
  • Balance sweet cranberry sauce with a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container, keeping buns separate to avoid sogginess.
  • Freeze wrapped sliders for up to 1 month; thaw overnight before reheating.
