Ingredients

Jalapenos

  • 16 pieces fresh jalapeno peppers

Cheese Filling

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Bacon

  • 16 slices bacon, cut in half (creating 32 shorter strips)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the jalapeno peppers under cold water, slice each in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds and membranes.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until creamy.
  • Step 3: Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  • Step 4: Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a half slice of bacon, covering the cheese filling entirely.
  • Step 5: Place the wrapped jalapenos on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Step 6: Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispy bacon, broil for a couple of minutes at the end of baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
