Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast

Seasonings

  • ½ teaspoon salt divided
  • ½ teaspoon pepper divided

Bacon

  • 6 strips bacon

Dairy

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¾ teaspoon Better Than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
  • ½ teaspoon Better Than Bouillon Roasted Chicken Base

Vegetables

  • 1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced
  • ¼ cup green onion, thinly sliced plus more for garnish

Cheese

  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded plus more for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breast with ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through, then shred.
  • Step 2: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and crumble.
  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, remaining salt, and pepper. Stir in garlic and chicken bases.
  • Step 4: Fold in shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, diced tomato, and green onion. Add cheddar cheese and mix well.
  • Step 5: Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with more cheese if desired, and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Step 6: Let cool slightly, garnish with green onions, and serve with dippers.

Notes

For deeper garlic flavor, add roasted garlic cloves. Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker option. Make ahead and refrigerate for a day before baking.
