Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup salted butter at room temperature
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 whole eggs at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Powdered sugar for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Grease and flour your Bundt pan generously.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, beat the room-temperature salted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Step 5: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Step 6: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream, mixing just until combined.
  7. Step 7: Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.
  8. Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Step 9: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then invert it onto a cooling rack.
