Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven - Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients - In a large mixing bowl, combine the sunflower oil, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, unsweetened applesauce, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Add Cinnamon - If using, add cinnamon to the wet mixture and mix.
  4. Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Step 5: Mix Dry into Wet - Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Fold in Sprinkles - Gently fold in the sprinkles into the cookie dough.
  7. Step 7: Scoop the Dough - Drop mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
